Domaine Carrette is located in the Mâconnais, region in Southern Burgundy, in the small village of Vergisson. It is located at the foot of the Roche de Vergisson, next to the famous Roche de Solutré, in the heart of Pouilly-Fuissé. Founded in 1980, this estate is managed by the third generation. Hervé, the child of the land, succeeded his parents and grandparents. Nathalie, his wife, trained as an oenologist and agricultural engineer.

The estate currently comprises 17 hectares: 9 in Pouilly-Fuissé and Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru, 3.5 in Saint-Véran, 4 in Mâcon and 0.5 in Aligoté (vinified and bottled without added sulphites). Domaine Carrette is currently undergoing an organic conversion and will be certified from the 2023 vintage. The wines are vinified with indigenous yeasts, in oak barrels and vats or in stainless steel tanks, depending on the vintage. Domaine Carrette's wines express the terroir and are playful. They are often the favourite of many restaurants, partly because of their good value for money.
