This small vineyard of 0.36ha in planted in 1985 and lies just above the Vosne-Romanée ‘La Grande Rue’ Grand Cru appellation. It lies on a slope with clay-limestone soil and crushed stone.
2022 was marked by striking climatic contrasts. A rainy autumn was followed by a frosty December. Spring brought unusually mild weather and spring was also particularly mild, culminating in May, which was the warmest in 50 years, encouraging vigorous growth. The summer was one of the hottest since 2023 with several heat waves.
Harvest began on 31 August in summer temperatures. Despite the extreme conditions, it produced wines of great finesse and remarkable elegance, with outstanding freshness and generous volume on the palate.
Production amounted to 902 bottles! The privileged geographical location gives the wine a natural elegance and finesse.
In the nose delicate with very subtle texture. The wine combines silky tannins with lively fruitiness, emphasising notes of raspberry and blueberry. The finish is long and delicate. This wine is perfectly accessible even in its youth.
