Productinformation
This cuvée was better known as ‘’Ormes des Chalandins‘’ before 2022.
The grapes used for this wine come from two adjacent plots: ‘’Les Ormes‘’ and ‘’Les Chalandins.‘’ Both plots each have a unique identity, Les Ormes was planted in 1985 and Les Chalandins in 2000. Both have clay-limestone soils with considerable silt. This fertile soil makes for a remarkably rich wine.
Production amounted to: 1,491 bottles
2022 was marked by striking climatic contrasts. A rainy autumn was followed by a frosty December. Spring brought unusually mild weather and spring was also particularly mild, culminating in May, which was the warmest in 50 years, encouraging vigorous growth. The summer was one of the hottest since 2023 with several heat waves.
Harvest began on 31 August in summer temperatures. Despite the extreme conditions, it produced wines of great finesse and remarkable elegance, with outstanding freshness and generous volume on the palate.
This Vosne-Romanée exudes great finesse, with aromas of concentrated red fruit, white flowers and delicious white pepper tone. Magnificently intense with excellent balance.
