Productinformation
This plot is considered one of the largest crus in Vosne-Romanée and is also the oldest. It is located in the historic part of Richebourg, south of the appellation, about fifty metres north of Romanée-Conti.
Thibault has a 0.52ha plot here with old vines planted between 1931 and 1936. This terroir is so complex that it is difficult to describe. Clay and limestone occur naturally here, but in extremely varied shapes and colours, making for enormous complexity.
Whole cluster is used here too, about 30%, long fermentation with very gentle extraction. Aging lasts 20 months with 60% new oak.
The wine is always great with lots of depth, surprising length and great complexity. Structured but refined, intensity and compelling.
