Productinformation
Vincent Durrieu is the fifth generation of the family to work the estate and continue the very traditional Burgundian methods. And it is a noble tradition. Domaine Potinet-Ampeau is one of the few domains that makes wine for aging and keeps its vintages in its own cellars to allow them to age properly before release.
Epenots is one of the best-known names in Pommard, referring to the wines coming from a historic lieu-dit at the foot of the Côte d'Or. It consists of three climates - Les Grands Epenots, Les Petits Epenots and Clos des Epeneaux - all planted with pinot noir. The Epenots Premier Cru site (along with Rugiens) is considered the most likely candidate for promotion to Grand Cru status.
