The ultra cuvee of Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru " La Richemone " comes from the southernmost part of the vineyard, which was planted in 1902. This plot has a unique vine stock and a rare soil composed of gravel, which provides perfect drainage and root depth, and clay and limestone. The richness of this soil creates a round wine with great freshness, with spicy aromas and silky tannins. The other part of the plot, with more stony soil, gives the wine good minerality and plenty of aroma.
