Productinformation
Vincent Durrieu is the fifth generation of the family to work the estate and continue the very traditional Burgundian methods. And it is a noble tradition. Domaine Potinet-Ampeau is one of the few domains that makes wine for aging and keeps its vintages in its own cellars to allow them to mature properly before release.
Les Champs Fulliots is Monthélie's largest Premier Cru vineyard at 8.11 hectares. It lies east of the village of Monthélie, in the far southeast of the appellation, bordering Meursault to the south (overlooking the Premier Cru vineyards of Les Cras and Les Caillerets) and Volnay to the east. The southern slopes have just enough slope to ensure good drainage. They can be considered a continuation of the main Volnay slopes. The best wines from Les Champs Fulliots can therefore be reminiscent of Volnays, without matching the aromatic intensity.
