Productinformation
The grapes for this Puligny-Montrachet are harvested in the climates: Noyer Bret, Les Maix, Les Nosroyes, Le Pampillot, Derrière la velle, Grandschamps and Rue Rousseau. The total area of the plots is just under 3ha, the vines with an average age of 44 years are on clay-limestone soils.
After pressing, the wine goes into 228l barrels to rest and stabilise after which alcoholic fermentation takes place. The wine undergoes full MLF to reach full aromatic expression during the ageing process. Maturation in barriques lasts 11 months followed by a further 4-5 months in smaller oak barrels before bottling.
A textbook example of why Puligny-Montrachet is much more highly regarded than its Burgundy cousins. Extremely refined and elegant!
The wines have a medium alcohol content of around 13%. The wine has a golden yellow colour with green highlights. Discover aromas of white flowers, lemongrass, green apple and flint. On the palate, these aromas meld with flavours of peach, creaminess and minerality.
