Productinformation
Domaine Alvina Pernot. In 2018, Alvina established her own négoce, growing grapes from her grandfather's vineyards. After a rigorous selection of which plots best suited her own style, she began production. Alvina wants to make wines with a bit more tension and therefore seeks grapes from higher-altitude plots. Moreover, she prefers to pick earlier to preserve more freshness and tension. From the debut 2018 vintage, Alvina Pernot no longer used new oak. All wines matured on their lees in used barrels, mainly from François Frères, until they were transferred to be bottled.
This Le Cailleret 1er Cru comes from Alvina's own plot, only 3 barrels were produced in 2022. This cuvée contains slightly more new oak than the other cuvées, but this is nicely integrated.
Not super pronounced in the nose. After some rolling, elegant aromas of citrus, apple blossom, exotic tea, wet stone and flowers are released. Very good tension, with medium body, with even more minerality, bit of stone fruit, tight and razor-sharp with slight reduction touch.
