Productinformation
Domaine Alvina Pernot. In 2018, Alvina established her own négoce, growing grapes from her grandfather's vineyards. After a rigorous selection of which plots best suited her own style, she began production. Alvina wants to make wines with a bit more tension and therefore seeks grapes from higher-altitude plots. Moreover, she prefers to pick earlier to preserve more freshness and tension. From the debut vintage 2018, Alvina Pernot no longer used new oak. All wines matured on their lees in used barrels, mainly from François Frères, until they were transferred to be bottled.
Puligny-Montrachet wine comes from one plot, "Noyers Brets", just southwest of the village itself and not far from the famous Grand Crus of Batard-Montrachet. The Puligny-Montrachet appellation is a balance of power and elegance.
