Caroline Lestimé is not an unfamiliar name. We know her, of course, as the winemaker of Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard. Maison Caroline Lestimé is a negocë and started in 2016. Here, Caroline experiments with her own creativity and expression.
The organically certified grapes come from the prestigious St Romain. The vineyard, with old vines, lies on a steep east-facing slope.
The wine has an attractive blend of ripeness and freshness. Fermented and matured in used oak barrels. The slight reduction in the nose soon gives way to perfumed aromas. With apricot and oranges on the palate, lively acidity and a very long finish.
