Productinformation
This small vineyard 0.3ha was planted in 1965 and is located in the heart of the village of Ladoix-Serrigny at the foot of the southeastern slope of the Corton hill below the Corton Vergennes. The shallow, stony soils consist of limestone and fine clay. The Comblanchien limestone produces pure, very elegant wines.
The grapes are harvested by hand and fully destemmed. Fermentation lasts 3 weeks with very gentle extraction and little punching down. The wine is aged for 20 months in 50% new oak.
It yields an elegant wine with nice acidity. Aromas of black fruits, roses and spices. On the palate powerful and generous with ripe tannins, nice fresh acidity due to the limestone soil.
