Productinformation
This plot is only 0.20 hectares in size. Originally planted in 1964, it lay fallow from 2013 to 2014 before being replanted in 2015. These vines are located southeast of Gevrey-Chambertin on clay soil with relatively little limestone.
This was the first plot to be vinified in 2006. The aim is to obtain some aromatic freshness from the stalks to compensate for the low limestone content of the soil.
For this wine, 50% whole cluster is used and ageing takes place for 20 months in 40% new oak.
Lots of red fruit, sometimes liquorice as the wine ages. Medium-bodied and a nice combination between tannins and softness through fruit with fine acidity.
