Productinformation
This cuvée is made from 5 terroirs located in the four corners of the Chambolle-Musigny appellation (les Mal Carrées, les Maladières, Derrière le Four, les Fremières and les Gamaires) and is a nice representation of the texture and typicity of Chambolle-Musigny wines. The vines planted between 1952 and 1963 give this wine good length and concentration.
The vines are on relatively deep soil, with some limestone with plenty of fine clay on top, which gives this wine its elegance.
This is also harvested by hand, 40% whole bunches. Long fermentation with gentle extraction. Aged for 18 months in 30& new oak.
Delicate notes of red fruit (raspberry, redcurrant, cherry), flowers (violets and rose) and white pepper. The wine is supple and structured with fine tannins, has a long finish and is driven by very well-controlled acidity, a guarantee of good storage potential.
