Productinformation
1.1 ha of vineyards planted in 1986 on the heights of the Côte de Nuits in the commune of Arcenant, 10 km west of Nuits-Saint-Georges. This plot faces south with a steep slope (about 40%) at an altitude of 450 metres.
The soil consists of white marl and limestone, similar to that of Corton Charlemagne. This is the last plot to be harvested, as it needs more time to reach full ripeness.
The grapes are harvested by hand, with 50% whole bunches. Maturation lasts 18 months, 30% of which is in new oak.
On the nose, this wine is surprisingly rich and deep, with lovely notes of black fruit. The body is balanced by a refreshing tension on the finish that gives it nice length. This parcel produces supple, deep Hautes-Côtes de Nuits that is always nicely ripe.
