Productinformation
This wine comes from a plot in the commune of Nuits-Saint-Georges, bordering the appellation Village (Nuits-Saint-Georges ‘les Argilats’). The word ‘Perrière’ means ‘quarry’ in old Burgundian.
This vineyard, planted in 1978 with golden Aligoté grapes, lies on shallow soil (20 to 30 cm) rich in limestone, which gives this terroir great freshness.
Its south-facing location gives this wine a richness and density unusual for the style of this appellation.
The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by a week of maceration and an 8-hour press. Then aged for 15 months in old oak barrels.
The result is an aromatic, fresh and delicate wine with very soft texture. Crisp citrus flavours, menthol and surprising length.
