Les Renardes is a vineyard that is part of the appellation Corton Grand Cru. The total area of this walled vineyard is 14.3 hectares in northeastern part of Aloxe-Corton on the eastern slopes of the Montagne de Corton, just below the village of Corton.
Les Renardes is characterised by stony, marl, clay soils rich in ironolite. These soils are known for their rich, game-like character, for which Corton Renardes wines are renowned.
Delarche's plot is 1.02ha with an eastern orientation, the vines are 25 years old on average. For this cuvée, the grapes are 100% destemmed, after cold fermentation in barrels, the wine matures for 16 months, 13 months in barrels (40% new) and 3 months in stainless steel tanks, before bottling.
