Productinformation

Chambertin Clos de Bèze is recognised as one of Burgundy's most prestigious grands crus. Its central location on a gently rolling, slightly cool and windy hill gives it an inimitable texture.

The deep subsoil consists of limestone gravel and silt, which has formed here over millennia. Located at 270/280 metres, the vineyard has a slightly steeper slope than its neighbour Chambertin. Both terroirs are bathed in sunshine, exposed to northerly winds but protected from rain from the west.

The wines from this plot are characterised by their extreme finesse and aromatic richness, combined with a very floral nose.

2022 was marked by striking climatic contrasts. A rainy autumn was followed by a frosty December. Spring brought unusually mild weather and spring was also particularly mild, culminating in May, which was the warmest in 50 years, encouraging vigorous growth. The summer was one of the hottest since 2023 with several heat waves.

Harvest began on 31 August in summer temperatures. Despite the extreme conditions, it produced wines of great finesse and remarkable elegance, with outstanding freshness and generous volume on the palate.

Production: 1,807 bottles / 120 magnums

Impressive, intense but graceful wine with radiant fruit. Fuller than the Chambertin, it is distinguished by perfect harmony.
