Productinformation
Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard is currently managed by Caroline Lestimé, who also runs her négociant business alongside this estate. Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard manages 9 hectares of vineyards, mainly in the Chassagne-Montrachet region. Caroline produces wine in the same way as her father, although we can see changes recently. In particular, the vineyards are worked in a biodynamic way. The wines have a classic character and have no formatting. The definition of a great Burgundy producer.
This cuvée is a blend of grapes from six different plots between Puligny and Santenay. The cuvée's name, L'Estimée, was inspired by the historic Paquelin family, which has lived in Chassagne since the 15th century. While descendants bear various surnames, such as Coffinet (from 1866) and Gagnard (from 1925), the branch founded by Jean-Noël Gagnard became the Lestimé family in 1994. L'Estimée thus symbolises the most recent branch of the family, whose name also means "the respected lady" in French.
