Productinformation
Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard is currently managed by Caroline Lestimé, who also runs her négociant business alongside this domain. Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard manages 9 hectares of vineyards, mainly in the Chassagne-Montrachet region. Caroline produces wine in the same way as her father, although we can see changes recently. In particular, the vineyards are worked in a biodynamic way. The wines have a classic character and have no formatting. The definition of a great Burgundy producer.
The Premier Cru Les Petits Clos, located south of the village, lies in the middle of the southeastern slope. Characterised by considerable erosion, the subsoil of limestone rises almost to the surface, creating an ideal environment for Chardonnay. One of the best Premier Cru vineyards for this grape, it produces a concentrated Chardonnay that epitomises the excellence of Chassagne. With aromas of white peach, minerals, smokiness and delicate white flowers, the wine has an elegant and refined profile.
