The individual lieu-dit of Clos Saint-Jean covers just over 5ha on the eastern slope of the Côte d'Or. The soil is defined by a large quarry on the hillside above Clos Saint-Jean. This provides a gravel and limestone layer supported by the limestone as we know it in the Côte d'Or.
Both white and red wines are produced but it is mainly the reds that capture the imagination, despite their often lighter color they are rich and ripe. A subtle wood application is also noticeable in this wine on the spicy purple fruit and soft earthy scents. The wine rich with lots of juice, structured medium flavors with nice concentration, good length with slightly mineral finish
