Caroline Lestimé is not an unfamiliar name. We know her, of course, from Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard. When we heard she was working on this project, we knew it had to have a place in our portfolio. Maison Caroline Lestimé started in 2016, allowing Caroline to experiment with her own creativity and expression. Grapes are taken from small circles and then experimented with different techniques.
We are introducing a new addition this year, from certified organic grapes from a prestigious St Romain provenance. The vineyard, with old vines, is situated on a steep east-facing slope. The wine presents an attractive blend of ripeness and freshness, with notes of stone fruit complemented by tangy citrus and lively acidity. Fermented and aged in used oak barrels, a subtle toasted essence is added while maintaining the inherent purity of the fruit.
