Productinformation

As a 22-year-old, Lorraine Senard Pereira took over the estate from her father in 2000. 2002 white was her first independent harvest, followed by the reds in 2005. Indeed, her wines do differ from those of her father, Philippe Senard. Today, those wines are markedly softer and more harmonious. Today, Comte Senard once again offers the ample assurance of a true high-level Burgundy. Lorraine Senard produces about six grands crus from the Corton hillside, of which the monopole Clos de Meix, with 1.64 ha, offers the highlight result.

Les Bressandes is a vineyard of the appellation Corton Grand Cru in the Côte de Beaune district of Burgundy. About 20 different domaines produce Corton Bressandes Pinot Noir wines. It is the largest appointed subsection (lieu-dit) of Corton, and is considered one of the best. This middle part of the slope has brown limestone with a higher clay content - ideal for pinot noir. Les Bressandes is a rocky vineyard with a lean upper layer, on the site of a former quarry.
