Productinformation
With the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru, Clos des Argillières 2020, Domaine Michele & Patrice Rion has proven its commitment to making excellent Burgundy wines. The domaine's main goal is to produce a wine that accurately reflects the region, allowing the characteristic soils to be expressed. They achieve this by prioritising the production of balanced wines, ignoring the idea that achieving the maximum necessarily means obtaining the optimum, especially in extracting colour, tannins and phenols.
The vines are planted in Premeaux. At the top of the hill opposite the domaine, the vines are in low-quality brown soil that rests on a base of pink Premeaux limestone at the base of the plot and white oolite towards the top. It is the estate's largest plot and measures 1.8 hectares. The age of the vines is 50 years with an average of 7500 bottles per year.
