Productinformation
Vincent Durrieu is the fifth generation of the family to work the estate and continue the very traditional Burgundian methods. And it is a noble tradition. Domaine Potinet-Ampeau is one of the few domains that makes wine for aging and keeps its vintages in its own cellars for proper aging before release.
Bas des Duresses is one of Auxey-Duresses' smallest Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte de Beaune sub-region of Burgundy. As the name suggests, the 2.39-hectare plot lies at the bottom of the larger Les Duresses site, separated by a small road. As a result, the wines are often considered lighter than those from the Premiers Crus that are closer to the village. These are more south-facing.
