Vincent Durrieu is the fifth generation of the family to work the estate and continue the very traditional Burgundian methods. And it is a noble tradition. Domaine Potinet-Ampeau is one of the few domains that makes wine for aging and keeps its vintages in its own cellars to allow them to age properly before release.
Clôs des Chenes is one of Volnay's main cru climates, located on the middle slopes of the Côte d'Or. This vineyard is perfectly suited to the Pinot Noir grape and is therefore exclusively dedicated to this variety. Renowned for their excellence, Volnay's Clôs des Chenes Premier Cru wines have a lively fruit profile, refined tannins, balanced acids and an abundance of elegance, making them a stellar representation of the region's best offerings.
