Productinformation
Vincent Durrieu is the fifth generation of the family to work the estate and continue the very traditional Burgundian methods. And it is a noble tradition. Domaine Potinet-Ampeau is one of the few domains that makes wine for aging and keeps its vintages in its own cellars to allow them to age properly before release.
Les Riottes is a Monthélie Premier Cru vineyard in the Monthélie appellation in the Côte de Beaune sub-region of Burgundy. A few wineries make red wines from the pinot noir that grows here. However, these wines are hard to find due to the small size of the plot - 0.75 hectares. The vineyard is located a few metres north-west of the village of Monthélie, on gentle south and south-east facing slopes. It is in the northern part of the main group of Premier Cru plots in the commune, on a spur on the east side of the village, just above Le Meix Bataille (to the east) and Le Village (to the south).
