Pitures, a prestigious Premier Cru appellation in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, is reserved for red wines made from the Pinot Noir grape. The Pitures vineyard is located just north of the village of Volnay, on the middle slope of the Côte d'Or wall. The vineyard is remarkably high and steep, lying at an altitude of 325 metres, making it one of Volnay's highest Premier Cru sites. The distinctive white marl in the soil, less common for pinot noir, contributes to its unique character. Pitures covers 4.1 hectares and is a site acclaimed for producing exceptional wines in this renowned Burgundy.
