The family estate is located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet. Domaine Blain-Gagnard was created in 1980 when Jean-Marc Blain and Claudine Gagnard married. Claudine descends from the Gagnard branch on her father's side and from the Delagrange-Bachelet branch on her mother's side. About 55% of the estate produces white wine and 45% red wine. The wines are exciting, refreshing and have wonderful balance. They are characteristic of the region and therefore an example for others to follow.
Domaine Blain-Gagnard owns about 8 hectares, most of which are in Chassagne-Montrachet. The estate's idea is that healthy grapes make good wine, and this is also the way the vineyards are cultivated. The white wines contain around 15-20% new wood, except for the Grands Crus where up to 30% new wood is used. Domaine Blain-Gagnard's wines are among the favourites of many wine lovers and ourselves. They are therefore highly sought after and are only awarded.
