Nicole Lamarche is the owner of Domaine Nicole Lamarche. Winemaking has been in the family for several generations, but since Nicole joined the Domaine in 2003, there has been a great leap forward in quality. Since 2006, Nicole has been in charge and has positively changed several processes. These include working the vineyards biodynamically, changing barrel suppliers and wood use, and modernising materials. Currently, Nicole is building a new cellar to further develop quality. All these recent changes are bearing fruit and this domain is internationally acclaimed for its fantastic quality pinot noir wines. Many a wine lover knows this domain for its grand cru monopole 'La Grande Rue', a 1.65-hectare vineyard located between La Tâche, Romanée-Conti and La Romanée.
Domaine Nicole Lamarche is 7.34 hectares and has a strong presence in 1er cru and grand cru vineyards. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically, the ambition being to bring out the terroir as much as possible in the wine. By using less new wood (maximum 50%), the wines become elegant, powerful but velvety. Nicole's wines are truly unique, from her 'Bourgogne rouge' to 'La Grande Rue' there is a distinct signature that is loved throughout the wine world. Available exclusively on request.
