Christophe Perrot-Minot is the owner of Domaine Perrot-Minot and SARL Perrot-Minot (the négoce house). We can trace the estate back to the mid-19th century, but the real winemaking started with Christophe's great-grandfather; Amédée Merme. He devoted himself to organising and structuring the vineyards, establishing contemporary quality in the vineyards. After a few years, Amédée's granddaughter married Henri Perrot-Minot and at some point the name changed to Domaine Perrot-Minot. In 1993, the passionate Christophe joined the domain and raised the quality significantly. Today, Christophe is one of the most celebrated, acclaimed winemakers worldwide. With some recent changes; reducing new wood, increasing the percentage of whole cluster maceration and declassifying wines when the desired level is not reached Christophe dominates in the Burgundy top.
Domaine Perrot-Minot is 13 hectares and is sustainably farmed. The estate has a strong presence in 1er cru and Grand cru vineyards, located in the best-known parts of Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny, Vosne Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges. The grapes are selected and harvested by hand and then undergo a rigorous selection process at the estate. Christophe uses between 50-60% maceration of the whole bunch. The wines are further raised in oak barrels of 20% new wood for 12-14 months. Christophe's wines are clean, pure with a wonderful expression of fruit through terroir use; a unique world-class producer. Exclusively available on allocation.
