Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet is the only Grand Cru vineyard in the municipality of Chassagne-Montrachet. It lies on the southeastern central slope of the Montrachet hill, at the southern terminus of the Bâtard-Montrachet climate, with the renowned Montrachet Grand Cru area atop the hill. This Chardonnay-planted vineyard produces complex, lush white wines that are considered among the best worldwide.
