Productinformation

As a 22-year-old, Lorraine Senard Pereira took over the estate from her father in 2000. 2002 white was her first independent harvest, followed by the reds in 2005. Indeed, her wines do differ from those of her father, Philippe Senard. Today, those wines are markedly softer and more harmonious. Today, Comte Senard once again offers the ample assurance of a true high-class Burgundy. Lorraine Senard produces about six grands crus from the Corton hillside, of which the monopole Clos de Meix, with 1.64 ha, offers the highlight result.

Classic Corton-Charlemagne is one of Burgundy's best white wines and is known for its combination of fruit flavours and minerality. The latter is particularly prevalent in wines from the cooler western slopes. Corton-Charlemagne is one of the most expensive white wines in the world, although it is still not as expensive as its counterparts from the Côte de Beaune.
