Productinformation
Confusion lurks in the naming of this wine! So this is not ''Les Chaumées 1er cru, in the north of the appellation. But “'Les Chaumes”', comprising several parcels within Chassagne-Montrachet, bordering La Boudriotte 1er cru . The southern block has premier cru status, but is rarely mentioned on the label because they may also be sold as Boudriotte or Morgeots premier cru.
This wine comes from the northern section with village status. The two parts are separated the Champs Jendreau premier cru vineyard. The proximity of these premier crus creates an expression and concentration superior to the “'village”' standard, with Puligny-like acidity on the finish that cuts through intense fruit on the palate. Focused, tight, intensely fruity with wonderful acidity.
