Productinformation

Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard is currently managed by Caroline Lestimé, who also runs her négociant business alongside this domain. Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard manages 9 hectares of vineyards, mainly in the Chassagne-Montrachet region. Caroline produces wine in the same way as her father, although we can see changes recently. In particular, the vineyards are worked in a biodynamic way. The wines have a classic character and have no formatting. The definition of a great Burgundy producer.

Les Boirettes 2,84ha, lies low on the hill on the southern border of Chassagne-Montrachet, it has iron-rich soil that is well suited to both white and red wines.

Boirettes is rarely used as a namesake but is, for example, the vineyard where all the grapes for Vincent Morey's Morgeot cuvée are grown.

Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard's plot is behind the abbey above the chapel. They are young vines and are ploughed with horses to keep the soil airy, which increases biodiversity and ultimately yield per vine.

The wine is medium pale/lemon with a fruity nose. On the palate, it is elegant and nicely perfumed, with a liveliness that lasts.
