Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is a large Grand Cru covering a total of 30.83ha, Charmes-Chambertin is 12.24ha and Mazoyeres-Chambertin 18.59ha.
The Perrot-Minot plot is 0.71ha, the vines were planted between 1970 and 1989 and are on reddish chalk soil, which is stony and dotted with rocky points. This indicates broken ground that roots very deeply.

2022 was marked by striking climatic contrasts. A rainy autumn was followed by a frosty December. Spring brought unusually mild weather and spring was also particularly mild, culminating in May, which was the warmest in 50 years, encouraging vigorous growth. The summer was one of the hottest since 2023 with several heat waves.
Harvest began on 31 August in summer temperatures. Despite the extreme conditions, it produced wines of great finesse and remarkable elegance, with outstanding freshness and generous volume on the palate.
The nose immediately betrays the authenticity of Charmes-Chambertin (more lush fruit than, say, Mazoyeres). On the palate, this wine unfolds with remarkable intensity, with notes of fresh raspberries enhanced by a subtle hint of pepper.
