Domaine Christian Bellang's wines are delicate and focused. This Meursault is vinified in oak barrels, 20-25% of which are new oak, maturing also in oak for 10-18 months depending on the year.
The vines are mid-hill on a clay-limestone soil. The result is a very classic Meursault. Rich in style with a buttery slightly toasty character. Lovely length on the palate and a lovely clean, crisp finish.
The Bellang family's history in Meursault dates back to 1789 and the estate has a total of 9 hectares of vineyards, mainly in Meursault, but also in Savigny-les-Beaune, Beaune and Chorey-les-Beaune.
