As a 22-year-old, Lorraine Senard Pereira took over the estate from her father in 2000. 2002 white was her first independent harvest, followed by the reds in 2005. Indeed, her wines do differ from those of her father, Philippe Senard. Today, those wines are markedly softer and more harmonious. Today, Comte Senard once again offers the ample assurance of a true high-class Burgundy. Lorraine Senard produces about six grands crus from the Corton hillside, of which the monopole Clos de Meix, with 1.64 ha, offers the highlight result.
‘’Les Valozières‘’ is the best situated premier cru of Aloxe-Corton, directly below the Corton Grand Cru site ‘’Les Bressandes‘’.
And this is clearly noticeable! Powerful but refined with the complexity and elegance you would expect from a vineyard with this location.
Ruby red with clear aromas of red fruit and spices. The wine is well is balance there seduces with its richness and structure. Controlled power brings great richness with lots of energy. This is also why it is Lorraine's favourite wine!
